Fast setup, good performance

I ordered a Cloud Server for a small project. Setup was quick, took about an hour. Performance has been solid so far. No issues. This worked out well.

Good value on VMware Private Cloud

I was looking to migrate some infrastructure and compared a few providers. Cloud4y offered a good deal on their VMware Private Cloud, especially with the annual payment discount. It felt like a significant saving compared to others I looked at, like DigitalOcean. The migration credit they gave helped too. Overall, I feel like I got good value for what I paid. Setup was a bit involved, but their support team helped me through it, which made a difference.

Reliable for Managed Kubernetes

This isn't my first time using Cloud4y. We've been with them for a while, mainly for Managed Kubernetes. This last order was for an expansion of our existing clusters. Consistency is key for us, and they've always delivered. The service is stable, and support is responsive when we need them, which is why we keep coming back. We also use their Cloud Backup Veeam, and that's been reliable too. The pricing model works for us, especially with volume discounts we've gotten over time. It's a solid platform for enterprise applications.

What's the deal with their tech support? Is it 24/7 or only during business hours? Need to know if I'm gonna be stuck waiting.

C Cleo Y. 2 months ago
They say 24/7. I've had to ping them in the middle of the night before and got a response fairly quickly.

M Mia 2 months ago
Pretty sure it's 24/7, at least that's what their site says. Haven't had a major outage to test it fully though.

Anyone know if they're running any Black Friday deals usually? Looking to migrate some stuff around then.

J James Z. 1 month ago
They usually have some promos around the big holidays, Black Friday included. Keep an eye out.

Yeah, I remember them having some decent deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Might be worth waiting if you're not in a rush.

Hey, wondering if Cloud4y takes regular credit cards like Visa or Mastercard for payment. I don't want to mess with weird international transfers.

T Tom Vargas 2 months ago
Yeah, they do. I pay with my Visa every month, no issues. It's pretty standard.

They definitely take cards. I think they also have bank transfer options but credit card works fine.

I'm looking at their cloud servers, how do they stack up against Yandex Cloud or even something like Linode?

E Emma 1 month ago
For enterprise stuff, Cloud4y feels more robust than Linode, especially with VMware. Yandex Cloud is good too, but I find Cloud4y's support better.

Cloud4y is pretty good if you need specific compliances like FZ-152 or PCI DSS. Yandex and Linode are more general purpose. Depends on your use case really.

Can I get a discount if I pay for a whole year upfront? Or is it just month-to-month pricing?

T Troy P. 2 months ago
Absolutely, they usually offer a pretty sweet discount for annual plans. Worth asking about.

M Megan 2 months ago
Yeah, if you commit to a year, you'll definitely see a price reduction. I think it's like 10-20% off depending on what you get.

Thinking about getting a server from here. Anyone know if their data centers are actually in Russia or if it's all offshore somewhere?

D David J. 1 month ago
They've got a few locations, Russia is one of them. Also Turkey, I think. Good for FZ-152 compliance if you need that.

M Mark 1 month ago
Yep, they have centers in Russia for sure. I use their Moscow one.

Does Cloud4y offer any free trials for new users to test things out? Don't want to commit without trying.

N Nina 2 months ago
Yeah, they give you some credit to start. Enough to spin up a small VM and play around.

M Megan K. 2 months ago
New customers usually get a free trial credit. Just enough to kick the tires for a bit before you decide.

What kind of virtualization do they use for their cloud servers? Is it just OpenStack or something else?

G Greg 2 months ago
They mostly use VMware for their virtual infrastructure. It's pretty solid.

S Sophie 2 months ago
It's all VMware-based stuff, which is good if you're used to that ecosystem. Not OpenStack, as far as I know.
